ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
Founded in 1995, Sundborn is an year-round authentic Montessori Children's House situated in the Mid-Willamette Valley. An Independent school and non-profit organization, our mission is to nurture the human spirit and empower children and our community. Named after the Swedish village that was home to painter Carl Larssen, whose work portrayed children and adults peacefully collaborating in the daily exercises of practical life, we are dedicated to sustainability in our operations and have a beautiful and thriving outdoor environment as well as a resident cat and dog. Our dedication to Montessori's vision extends to Zimbabwe and our partner school Nhimbe.
