ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a warm, thoughtful, compassionate Primary Guide to join our community.  You will be sharing your talents with supportive colleagues.  We have an inclusive learning environment and strive to collaborate with others who wish to cultivate kindness and curiosity.  As a team, we embrace continual learning through professional development and coaching.  

Lewis & Clark Montessori School has been serving families since 2008.  We are a public charter school, dedicated to making Montessori accessible to all.   Our school spans Primary through Middle School.  Join our community, and discover what wonders the Pacific Northwest has to offer!  We are located just east of Portland, Oregon.  The area offers stunning natural beauty, opportunities for outdoor adventure, and a rich cultural scene.

We are highly passionate about, experienced in, and committed to the Montessori approach.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and AMI Primary Certification
A deep reserve of patience, generosity, and adaptability
Prefer experience as a Lead Guide (or Assistant), with a reflective understanding and appreciation of Montessori practice and philosophy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, families, and children
Proficiency in a second language is desirable but is not required
