Cascadia School is seeking someone for a dual position, reading support in the morning and afternoon Upper Elementary Assistant (4th - 6th grade). This is a full-time, hourly position.

Reading Support
Cascadia uses a structured literacy approach for struggling readers, which is overseen by our Reading Support Coordinator. The candidate for this position will work with our coordinator. Experience with structured literacy is a benefit.

Upper Elementary Afternoon Assistant
The classroom assistant’s role is to support the Guide by assisting students when needed, maintaining the classroom environment, playground supervision, and general duties related to the classroom community.

Our ideal candidate has experience in a Montessori classroom and/or an AMI/AMS Primary diploma. Ideally, the applicant can collaborate with others, communicate effectively, have strong organizational skills, be flexible, and build positive relationships with students, families, and co-workers.

Typical Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Required: CPR/First Aid certification; Background check
Paid holidays, paid time off, professional development, retirement, and health benefits are included.
Hourly wage range: $22-23, depending on experience.
