OMA MetroParent Ad June 2009
The OMA is pleased to announce that we will be putting a full page color ad in 2009-2010 Education and Enrichment Guide of Portland’s MetroParent Magazine. The supplement will be available on-line, which gives us even more visibility. You can see last year’s version here.
OMA will be listed under the extended listings under preschool, private schools and public schools. The cost will be $1883 with the additional extended listings under preschools, private schools and public schools.
The main purpose of this ad is to give our Montessori community a larger profile. We want to convey that we are a vibrant and growing community (and perhaps with added visibility government officials and legislators will begin to pick up Montessori education on their radar.) .
This ad will
- Help our Montessori families confirm that they have made the right choice for their children’s education and make it easier for them to recommend Montessori to their friends.
- Drive traffic to our school listings on the OMA website. (We will be reorganizing the website to make our school listings more visible to the first time visitor.)
- The extended listings make it affordable for all of us to support our Montessori community and its strengths in these uncertain economic times.
Metro Parent, formerly Portland Parent, is the area’s first and premiere monthly parenting publication. Targeting parents of children ages pre-k through 14 years of age, readership is predominately college educated women, ages 25-45 with middle to upper-middle income levels. Circulation is about 45,000+, with a 100,000+ readership.
As soon as we have the ad completed in mid-May we will be mailing out a letter with a copy of the ad to our member schools asking for a minimum contribution of $37 for this ad. If your school can contribute more we encourage you to do so, in order to assist schools that may not be able to contribute in these tough economic times. All OMA schools will be listed in the ad.
In this mailing we will also be sending information about a year-long campaign in Metro-Parent. If your school would support a year-long campaign in Metro-Parent, we will ask you to make a pledge for ads. This pledge will be due in September. We will make ad decisions and commitments based on the number of pledges we receive, and will hold all monies to be used for ads in a designated ad fund.
