Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish
Based on their books "How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk" and "Siblings Without Rivalry", Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish have created two workshop programs for parents and professionals. Each kit is a self-contained course including a leader’s guide, one participant’s workbook, audio cassettes for each session, and one copy of each book on the required reading material list.

RISE UP SINGING TEACHING TAPES (also on CD now) (The tapes have been transfered onto CD. You may request either set.)
Six sets of tapes contain a simple vocal and instrumental rendition to every song in the “Rise Up Singing” song book. The tapes include enough of each song to enable you to learn the full melody, including the verse, chorus and bridge, and variations.

REFINING THE 3-6 PREPARED ENVIRONMENT
This presentation contains more than 100 slides of an exemplary 3-6 prepared environment that examines the physical, psychological, and pedagogical levels of implementation. The presentation can be used as a springboard for discussion by an onsite Montessorian as part of a one-day seminar for the school’s 3-6 teachers to create an optimal prepared environment integrating beauty, proportion, and presentation techniques to hold the child’s attention.
THE CHILD IN NATURE
Montessori teacher trainer Nimal Vaz, along with Robin Moore, landscape architect, and Thomas Berry, theologian-philosopher, shows how the naturalized schoolyard brings the child into contact with the natural world and the universe. The video introduces teacher and parents to the necessity of outdoor learning environments for preschool and elementary classrooms. Running time: 16 minutes.
